Sernagiotto / Lacorte get back on the new Ginetta-Nissan LMP3 prototype (revised after their test race at Imola) for the Austrian 4 Hours, third round of the international championship on July 11-12
Treviso (Italy), July 9, 2015. Celadrin Villorba Corse next commitment is the 4 Hours of Red Bull Ring to be held on Sunday 12 July. The third round of the European Le Mans Series will be a sort of new debut in the championship for the Italian team and race drivers Giorgio Sernagiotto and Roberto Lacorte at the wheel of the Ginetta-Nissan LMP3. Actually they were forced to miss Silverstone, as they were still waiting for the delivery of their new prototype, and then to take part in the Imola 4 Hours like it was a test race after completing the work on the car just the day before. Right after that weekend, the team led by Raimondo Amadio has kept on working hard on the development of the Ginetta-Nissan collecting data from a two-day test held at Le Castellet and revising some specific details to finally be ready for Red Bull Ring, where Sernagiotto / Lacorte will be the sole Italian pair to competing in the LMP3 class. The 4 Hours of Red Bull Ring marks the halfway point of the 2015 ELMS season. It will take place at Austria’s premier race circuit situated near Spielberg in the foothills of the Styrian Alps on Saturday 11 (with two 90-minute free practice sessions) and Sunday 12 July (with two 20-minute morning qualifying sessions and then the race at 13h30 CET).
Team principal Raimondo Amadio commented: “After our testing sessions at Paul Ricard we made a very deep work on the car paying a special attention on revising those details which in Imola showed the usual issues of a brand new car. The whole squad is aware that our championship starts in Austria and Red Bull Ring is our first real race, so it will be a very demanding racing weekend, with still a lot of work to do and a lot of traffic on track”.
