ELMS - 03/07/2011
Traffic already posed problems. More than in free practice and qualifying, it was obvious that the understanding between drivers could play a crucial role in the outcome of today's race. On several occasions three cars came into Tamburello line abreast!
Sudden switches of direction by the Peugeots, wheels locked up under braking by the Audis, all indicated that it is going to be difficult for the quickest cars to thread their way through the different battles that will be going on during the race.
Franck Montagny in the no. 8 Peugeot 908 (Peugeot Sport Total), who will start from the second row at 12h00, set the quickest time from Allan McNish in the no. 2 Audi R18 T18 (Audi Sport Team Joest), Sébastien Bourdais in the no. 7 Peugeot 908 (Peugeot Sport Total) and Marcel Fässler in the no. 1 Audi R18 TDI (Audi Sport Team Joest).
The fastest times in the other categories were set by Nicolas De Crem in the no. 45 Oreca 03-Nissan (Boutsen Energy Racing) in LM P2, Jorg Müller's no. 55 BMW (BMW Motorsport) in LM GTE Pro, Jens Petersen in the no. 93 FLM (Genoa Racing) and Patrick Long in the no. 63 Porsche 911 RSR (Proton Competition).
The autograph session will start at 10h00 and the Pit walk at 10h30. The race will began at 12h00.> 10 days to go before Le Castellet - Le 09/07/2020 à 11:00
