ELMS - 15/06/2019
Filipe Albuquerque (POR), driver #22, United Autosports:
“My stint at the start of the race was harder than I expected. I had oversteer and the car was too neutral. But I stayed out of trouble. I lost some time with the initial slow zone and full course yellow with the Toyotas - sometimes you lose, sometimes you gain. We’re are steady but so far not amazing. Hopefully we will gain later.”
Paul Di Resta (GB), driver car #22, United Autosports:
“It was hard work. The car balance is proving to be quite difficult. But you never know with the track how it can change. It is going to be a long race if it continues to be like that but at the same point it maybe the same for everyone.”
Phil Hanson (GB), driver car #22, United Autosports:
“First stints were good. Took over the car in P6 and gave it to Filipe in P6. The car is starting to handle a bit better now compared with the earlier stints of Filipe and Paul.”
Alex Brundle (GB), driver car #32, United Autosports:
“I took the start, managed to keep out of trouble and gained places, boxing P4 or P5 in or around the lead group. I’m pretty happy, it has been a decent start to the race and everything is going fine with the car.”
Ryan Cullen (GB), driver car #32, United Autosports:
“My first ever race laps at Le Mans were really eye opening - nothing really prepares you for the actual race. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to go back out and do better than I did the first laps."
Will Owen (US), driver #32, United Autosports:
“My opening stints were okay - the car was very good and had good pace.”
