TDS Racing on every front !

The team will be among the front runners in a LM P2 category, an old hand following its 2012 championship! This year, Thiriet by TDS Racing team will make the Oreca 05 (the new closed prototype from the Oreca factory) start with ELMS, followed by the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the peak of the season. On board, Ludovic Badey, Pierre Thiriet and Tristan Gommendy will once again put their trust in the team. The goal is to conquer Teams and Drivers ELMS titles and to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in LM P2 class after the second place from last year.

At the official ELMS tests organised on the Castellet track (March23-24), the # 46 Oreca 05 Nissan set the second fastest time in LM P2, three tenths behind the leader and with a brand new car! An excellent start confirms Tristan Gommendy: «The basis of the car and our first feelings are very good. The car is reacting to every single modification which is very positive. We tested a lot of things at Le Castellet and we now know in which direction we have to go. Moreover, Dunlop has done a great job with the 2015 tires.  

Regarding the first round, one thing is certain: we will fight at the front of the pack. Silverstone is a track which mixes medium and fast portions, so I think the car will behave fine thanks to its balance. It may also rain so many parameters will have to be taken into account. We will have a better overview after the first sessions. » 

Franck PERERA : «The tests went well. There are several new things for the team such as new Dunlop tires, a first time entry in GTC category and a new team mate, Dino Lunardi, who did a great job at Le Castellet. We worked a lot for two days and tried many things to understand this car correctly. Finally, the car behaves very well on both short and long runs. As far as the opponents are concerned, we shall see how well the Balance of Performance works at Silverstone. The goal for this race as well as for the rest of the season is to go on learning and we are aiming at the best possible result. What is put into place now is done with the single objective of being ready for Le Mans.»
