Row two for tomorrow’s 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will be filled by two championship contenders. The no39 Graff Oreca-Gibson of Enzo Guibbert setting a 2m03.053, just ahead of the no32 United Autosports Ligier-Gibson of Filipe Albuquerque.

The honours in the LMP3 class went to the no9 AT Racing Ligier-Nissan of Mikkel Jensen, the Dane finishing seven tenths of a second ahead of the rest of the field with a 2m13.634. The two United Autosports Ligiers were second and third quickest, with Wayne Boyd in the no3 car just 0.142 ahead teammate and championship leader Sean Rayhall in the no2 Ligier at the end of the 12 minute session.

Matteo Cairoli claimed the first pole position of the 2017 ELMS season for Porsche in the LMGTE class. The Italian lapped the 7km circuit in the no77 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR in 2m16.757, 0.358 ahead of Nicki Thiim in the no90 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage, with Will Stevens in the no66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari, the car he won the LMGTE Am title at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, in third place 0.927s behind the lead Porsche.
The 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will start at 12h00 tomorrow, Sunday 24 September.
