SIX ELMS TEAMS AT SPA

ELMS - 13/04/2012

Following the decision to cancel the second round of the European Le Mans Series on the Zolder circuit on 18-19-20 May, teams entered for the ELMS season were given the possibility of taking part in the Spa-Francorchamps 6 Hours (2nd round of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship) on 3-4-5 May. The Spa-Francorchamps 6 Hours will give them a great deal of precious track time to prepare for the coming Le Mans 24 Hours (16-17 June) for which they have all received invitations.

The following six teams have decided to avail themselves of this opportunity:

LMP2

- JOTA: Zytek Z11SN-Nissan

- RACE PERFORMANCE: Oreca O3-Judd

- EXTREME LIMIT ARIC: Norma M200P-Judd

- BOUTSEN GINION RACING: Oreca 03-Nissan

LMGTE Am

- IMSA PERFORMANCE MATMUT: Porsche 911 RSR

- AF CORSE: Ferrari F458 Italia

These team can take part in the second round of the FIA WEC without any technical modifications as the European Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship share common technical regulations.

This race is a non-ELMS event so the six teams will not score points in the ELMS Championship.
