Romain Dumas at 1000Km of Hungaroring

ELMS - 20/08/2010

For its first time on the Hungaroring circuit next 21 and 22 August, Le Mans Series will welcome an important guest. After an extremely successful season, Romain Dumas will participate in the year's fourth race. The Frenchman wants to repeat his performances once again on the occasion of this Hungarian round.

2010 has welcomed the driver into the history of motor racing. After a exhilarating race, Romain Dumas won the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 13th behind the wheel of an Audi R15 TDI, thus giving a triple victory to the legendary German brand. Three weeks ago the Frenchman won the 24 Hours of Spa after a race where the outcome was decided half an hour before the end. This new success confirms his status of leader status in the paddocks.

For the last but one 2010 Le Mans Series race, the driver has chosen to join the competition. Romain Dumas will be driving a  Porsche 997 GT3 RSR wirh Austrian Martin Ragginger and German Christian Ried in the LM GT2 category. The Felbermayr Proton Team's car bearing number 88 will hold an essential role in the general classification. Two races before the final, the battle rages between Porsche and Ferrari. Romain will be keen to widen the gap between the two manufacturers and offer a victory to his team.

In Hungary, the driver will not be a newcomer to Le Mans Series. In 2004, he took the start at Monza, Silverstone and Spa in categories LM GT1 and LM P1. This year he will cover the 1000Km of Hungaroring with a LM GT2. A new challenge for the winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

This fourth Le Mans Series round will be the occasion for Romain Dumas to confirm his place amongst the best international drivers and, possibly, add Hungary to his prize list.
