4 Hours of Monza polemen reactions

ELMS - 11/05/2019 - Sophie LIGER

Matteo Cairoli, n°77 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR: “The car was mega to drive, I have to thank the team for their excellent job as usual. I was a little bit under pressure because my first lap was deleted for track limit, so I reset my mind and said ok, now it’s time to push and not make any mistakes. Everything worked well so thank you to everybody for the support and I’m happy to be on pole.

“In Paul Ricard we saw that we had to fight a lot for a podium position and I expect the same tomorrow but we should have a good car and I’m pretty confident for a good result.”

Lucas Légeret, n°19 M Racing Norma M30: “I’m really happy of the work we did with the team and I want to thank them all and especially my two engineers. The car was just perfect, and I think it’s a really nice gift for my birthday.

“The LMP3 class is really intense but I think I wanted this pole bad enough for my birthday.”

Nicolas Lapierre, n°37 Cool Racing Oreca 07: “I’m very happy and very proud of the team. It’s only their second race in LMP2 in ELMS and if you see the level of the championship, they achieve today something great so I’m very thankful and proud of them.

“We have a long way in front of us, we improved session after session and the level the team has reached so far is pretty amazing so I’m very proud.”
