Questions & Answers to Christian Klein - Morand Racing - Morgan Judd n°43 - LMP2
1) After the Red Bull Ring event, what did you do to keep fit during the summer break?
First of all it will be my first race with Morand Racing. I have tested with the team in Snetterton last week and got some laps in dry and wet conditions, it's always good to have a test day before jumping into a race weekend. I haven't been in a LMP car since 2011 when I races with Aston Martin in LMP1. But I felt pretty much straight away comfortable in the car and the team did a great job to help me adjust to the car and team.
2) We will discover two special tracks until the end of the season: Hungaroring, a Formula 1 circuit, and the Paul Ricard, a modern and safety reference in motorsports. Have you raced on these before and what can you say about these tracks?
I have raced in Hungary in F1 and Touring cars, it's a very challenging race track. The track is very technical, most of the corners are low speed but it's hard to keep a good rhythm in long runs because it's so twisting and bumpy. I always liked to race there, also because it's almost a home race with Austria only 200km away. Paul Ricard is a very different race track. It is a high speed track and maybe more similar to Le Mans, and for sure one of the safest tracks around the world and very good for testing. I have been testing in Paul Ricard a lot with Peugeot Sport in the LMP1 car, we have done many 30h simulation, so I can say I know the track pretty well.
3) We have two races to the end of the 2013 ELMS season, how do you see the near future and what are expectations?
I think we have a good package, Morand Racing showed there potential already this year with some podium finishes. Going to Hungary for my first race in ELMS and Morand Racing I have a very good feeling that we will be competitive from the start.> 10 days to go before Le Castellet - Le 09/07/2020 à 11:00
