ELMS - 21/06/2013
Just after midnight Emmanuel Collard brought the ProSpeed Competition Porsche 911GT3 RSR into the pit-lane and parked the car in the parc fermé. In the final lap of the lastqualifying session of this 2013 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans “Manu” Collard hadgiven the team a more than respectable starting position for the race. But more important than the starting position is the fact that both on Wednesday and Thursday everything ran smoothly for the team and drivers and that the successful German GT andits crew are perfectly prepared to take on the race.
Rudi Penders (Team Manager ProSpeed Competition)“No preparation has any hold on the climatic conditions and race incidents, and theseplayed a few tricks on us. On several occasions “Manu” was obliged to cut short a fast lapdue to a red flag – that breaks off either a session temporarily or entirely due to anincident – and then valuable time is lost. However apart from that we, as a team aresatisfied. The drivers and the technical crew found the ideal balance for the car, amongstothers thanks to “Manu's” experience, and at no time were we in any way involved in anincident, which also proves the fine form of our two rookies. If we carry on through inthis light in the race then everything is possible. Collectively we have found our idealcruising speed.”
François Perrodo (FRA – Driver - Porsche 911 GT3 RSR #75 – LM GTE AM)“The collaboration within the team is perfect and I reckon we are ready to take on thisgreat human and sporting adventure which Le Mans is. Without the various interruptions Sébastien (Crubilé) and myself could have put in a few more laps, which is always abonus. This would have been ideal to truly discover the circuit's check points. Apart fromthat I'm really happy. Roll on Saturday!”
Emmanuel Collard (FRA – Driver - Porsche 911 GT3 RSR #75 – LM GTE AM)“I'm pleased with the result, especially seeing that I was able to optimise the car'shandling at the last moment. We can now use the car's handling during my fast laps asthe basis to improve the car's set-up for the race, in as much that it might be necessary.”
