The first mentioned series brings together more than sixty cars allwith an identical performance. The race is a true battle, where the slightest mistake onthe track results in an immediate drop in the overall classification. Organised by theAutomobile Club de l'Ouest, the European Le Mans Series implies being able to masterboth technology and refuelling, the core of a race strategy. A challenge that ProSpeedand its drivers will be taking on…during 24 hours!
Rudi Penders (ProSpeed Competition Team Principal)“Our commitment in the European Le Mans Series, the European championship whoseregulations were inspired by those of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, had one objective: toprepare for a participation in those 24 Hours of Le Mans. Having then joined the list ofentrants, albeit as reserve, we had the conviction we would be at the start. Our 2013planning had taken into account this possibility thanks to a “double” version. When theACO advised us of the good news, we just simply adapted that version… and the entireteam continued with the work based on the revised conditions. ProSpeed Competition'spresence on the international motorsport scene has been constant. At such a level ofcommitment we cannot allow ourselves to improvise. This fourth consecutiveparticipation at “Le Mans” proves the stability that both Luc Goris and myself have beenable to offer our organisation. But believe me it's constant and pressing work.”
Luc Goris (Technical Director)“Our presence at the ‘Test' day, this coming Sunday 9th June, is just the first stage.François Perrodo and Sébastien Crubilé will have the opportunity to become acquaintedwith the ‘Prototype LMP1' environment whilst also completing the required ten laps to bequalified. They will have the extraordinary benefit of being able to count on EmmanuelCollard's advice. Once the day is over we will get down to carrying out a completeoverhaul of the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.”
