ELMS - 20/10/2017 - Sophie LIGER
With 98 points Memo Rojas and Leo Roussel are leading the provisional classification. their teammate Ryo Hirakawa missed the race in the Red Bull Ring and Le Castellet so he is then not in contention for the drivers title and is standing third in the driver’s classification. The G-Drive crew won the race in Monza and secured four second positions all season long so they will be looking for a highly coveted victory this Sunday at the wheel of their n°22 Oreca 07 Gibson.

On the other side we have Will Owen, Hugo De Sadeleer and local hero Filipe Albuquerque drivers of the n°32 United Autosports Ligier JSP2 Gibson that are second in the provisional classification with 80 points, only 18 points behind G-Drive Racing. The United Autosports crew is the only LMP2 team to have secured two victories this season, one in Silverstone and the other one in Red Bull Ring so they will certainly be looking for their third victory of the season, especially Filipe Albuquerque who is racing at home, here in Portimão.
Both teams met this morning and at the views of the pictures we can definitely said that they are all ready to fight hard on track to raise the ELMS champion trophy on Sunday night.
Track action will start this afternoon at 14:15 (local time) with the Bronze Driver Collective tests followed by the first free practice session at 17:00.
The race and the qualifications will be streamed live on our Facebook page HERE and on the official website.
