Panis : “We’ve got the reliability”

Olivier Panis, a member of the ORECA Peugeot 908 HDi FAP driver line-up, thinks that the works Peugeot and Audi squads have a certain advantage in the Spa-Francorchamps 1000-km race. But the former F1 driver reckons that the French trio in the no.10 908, which won the Sebring 12 Hours, have a few tricks up their sleeve!
“It's clear that Peugeot and Audi have an advantage over us,” explains Panis. “But we've got our own strong points; we've got reliability and we can count on two young and talented drivers. I bring my experience. We did a good job at Sebring and reaped the rewards of our efforts.”
Panis, though, feels it will be difficult to repeat their Sebring feat. “There the track was narrow and twisty, so it was fairly slow. Here it'll be very difficult to compete on equal terms with the works Peugeots. But we'll do our best to give them a run for their money!”Actualités liées
