ORECA and Ferrari 1-2 in Second Free Practice

The session was dry allowing the times to improve on this morning’s session with the no21 Dragonspeed Oreca of Nicolas Lapierre finishing the afternoon with the second fastest time, 2.046s behind the Thiriet by TDS Racing Oreca. The third spot went to the no29 Pegasus Racing Morgan-Nissan of Léo Roussel finishing 0.510s behind the Dragonspeed Oreca.
The fastest LMP3 car was, once again, the no19 Duqueine Engineering Ligier with Dino Lunardi setting a 1m57.226, 0.435s ahead of the no9 Graff Ligier of Enzo Guibbert and a further 0.048 ahead of the no10 Graff car of Sean Rayhall.
The no56 AT Racing Ferrari 458 Italia sent the quickest time in GTE with Alexander Talkanitsa Sr setting a lap of 2m01.535, just 0.1 seconds ahead of the no66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari of Andrea Bertolini, with the no96 Aston Martin Vantage of Stuart Hall in 3rd 0.6 seconds behind the lead car.

ELMS qualifying will take place at 10h50 tomorrow morning with a 10-minute session for LMGTE, followed by a second 10-minute session for LMP3 with LMP2 following on for a further 10 minutes. This will decide the grid for the 4 Hours of Silverstone which will take place at 14h30 tomorrow afternoon. Watch it live at www.europeanlemansseries.com
