ELMS - 06/04/2018 - Press release - Inter Europol Competition
Scheuschner only started racing in 2016 and has been part of the team since the beginning of 2017. With a lot of racing done last year and many test days this year, he has much improved his laptimes and has become a very quick gentleman driver. Like last year he also races this year with the team in the VdeV. In the ELMS his new teammates are both Italien. The most experienced of the two is Luca Demarchi. He won a.o. the Italy GT Championship in 2016. The youngest of the drivers, Danny Molinaro, who will turn 20 on April 13, has experience in the CN class and did many test kilometres in LMP3 in the last couple of months.
Kuba Smiechowski: “I am looking forward to the start of the ELMS. After the first race in Barcelona in the VdeV, I am hungry for some proper racing. Last year my teammate Hippe and I were on the podium at Le Castellet which was our best result (2nd).”
Paul Scheuschner: “I am pretty excited to make this step into the ELMS and looking forward to show a strong performance in the first race.”
Luca Demarchi: “I’m really happy to have the chance to enter such a competitive and important championship as the European Le Mans Series. I thank the Inter Europol Competition team that they trust me and wish me to be part of the team on car #14. I’m really excited to start this new experience, and will do my best to reach the targets we are looking for together.”
