Ojjeh : “I couldn’t have asked for more!”

ELMS - 25/09/2011

Greaves Motorsport has won both the drivers' and teams' titles in LM P2 thanks to Tom Kimber-Smith's pole yesterday. Today, the British team is determined to end the season on a high note. Karim Ojjeh sums up a year that has been a marvellous success story from start to finish thanks to the Le Mans Series titles, and the rise to prominence of young French coming man, Olivier Lombard.

In addition to the qualities of the Zytek Z11SN-Nissan the team is going to do its best to give the young talented Frenchman, who has won on all his outings with the squad, every chance to shine on the Estoril circuit. “We're going to try and go as fast as we can,” said Karim Ojjeh. “Today with the title in our pocket our aim is to promote our youngster (Olivier Lombard), and try and help him finish as high up the classification as possible. We're not going to trundle around at 50 km/h; we going to go pedal to the metal all the way!”

Greaves Motorsport, the LM P2 Championship-winning team, has had an extraordinarily successful year. ‘I couldn't have asked for more,” laughed a delighted Ojjeh. “I've got fantastic team-mates, a marvellous team, and we have the best car in the field in terms of reliability if not in outright speed. But our pole yesterday showed that we can up the pace when it counts. It's been a great season overall, and a fabulous one for Greaves Motorsport. It's always been a good team and when you give it the right equipment, it shows what it's capable of achieving!”
