ELMS - 29/03/2018 - Sophie LIGER
Q: You will make your ELMS debut this season with Ebimotors, how do you feel about stepping up to the European Championship?
I’m very enthusiastic to be taking part in this important championship, it is one of my dream-goals. Moreover, being followed by Ebimotors since I started racing in motorsport two years ago makes me feel good and gives me confidence for the coming ELMS season.
Q: What do you think of the competition in the LMGTE field?
I think it will be a very interesting and thrilling challenge between my 911 GTE RSR that I will drive this season in ELMS and the Ferrari 488 GTE of our rivals. I can’t wait to know our condition and where we are compared to our rivals at the Official Test in two weeks in Le Castellet.
Q: You will be facing some strong competition this season; how will you prepare for this new challenge that you will tackle with Fabio Babini?
I think Fabio’s support is going to be fundamental to me since his experience and advices can make me learn a lot and grow as a driver. I’m going to follow and listen to everything he will say as it will be my first experience in an international context. Physically I have been following my usual training during all winter season in order to be ready.
Q: Of the six race circuits on the ELMS calendar, which are you looking forward to the most and why?
Of the six race circuits I’ve only raced in Monza so I can’t really say which one I prefer but I can say that the circuit I’m waiting for the most is Spa-Francorchamps since it’s a renowned circuit and I’m really curious to see what my feelings will be there.
