AVF by Adrian Valles Joins the ELMS Grid

ELMS - 19/03/2018 - Jeff CARTER

Another new team will join the expanded ELMS grid in 2018, with Spanish team AVF by Adrian Valles making their ELMS debut this season. The team will enter a single Dallara P217-Gibson in the LMP2 category driven by Russian Konstantin Tereschenko and Portugal’s Henrique Chaves.

The team was founded by former racing driver Adrián Vallés Escortell and AVF quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned in single seater racing. For the past few years the team have been racing in Formula V8 3.5 and Formula Renault 2.0, with 20-year-old Henrique Chaves becoming a team regular in the Formula Renault Series and he will also be making his Endurance debut at Le Castellet in April.

Adrian Valles was born in Teulada, Alicante in 1986 and established himself as a successful racing driver and now team owner. The team is located next to the Montmeló Circuit and is not just involved in preparing the cars to race but also driver management and career development of the race engineers and mechanics.

Henrique Chaves said: “I'm very excited about joining AVF for the upcoming ELMS season. It's a big step in my racing career but I'm confident that, together with AVF, we can do a solid job. Driving in 4-hour races with slower traffic to tame is not what I'm used to, but I will take it step by step and learn as much as possible.”
