NewBlood by Morand Racing announces the French driver Romain Brandela to teamup with Gary Hirsch and Christian Klien in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Born in 1973, Romain Brandela is a GT stalwart in the French championship and Blancpain Endurance Series. He also competed seven times in the Spa 24 Hours. He made his LM P2and Le Mans debut in 2013 at the wheel of a Lola-BMW entered by DKR Engineering,finishing 12th in the class.
Joining NewBlood by Morand Racing marks a significant stage in his racing career in a team aiming at victories and title in the 2014 ELMS with a Judd powered Morgan with Dunlop tyres and a driving squad including Gary Hirsch from Switzerland and Christian Klien from Austria.
Brandela will be driving at the ELMS official test sessions at the Paul Ricard circuit in France (April 1-2) and the first two rounds of the 2014 season at Silverstone (April 18-19) and Imola (May 17-18) before joining La Sarthe for the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 14-15).
