ELMS - 30/09/2013

Team release

Within the time span of one week two major European endurance championships saw the chequered flag drop for the last time in the 2013 season. Last week on the Nürburgring the last round of the Blancpain Endurance Series took place, and now this weekend it was the turn of the European Le Mans Series to appear on track for the last time.

Both series have already revealed their plans for 2014, with full continuity, proof of the quality and vision of both these series. On the Paul Ricard circuit the #75 ProSpeedCompetition Porsche 911 GT3 RSR manned by the French duo François Perrodo and Emmanuel Collard drove a faultless race to finally take the flag in sixth place. With this result the duo finish in eighth position in the final drivers' rankings inthe LM GTE class and ProSpeed Competition claimed sixth place in the team's final rankings. For the Belgian Tongeren based team their following upcoming assignment is the final round of the Belgian BRCC championship, to be held in a fortnight's time at the Belgian Circuit Zolder.

François Perrodo (Driver- Porsche 911 GT3 RSR #75 – LMGTE): “I'm both happy and disappointed that my first season in the European Le Mans Series hascome to an end. The ELMS championship is of a very high level and extremely competitive, definitely the right choice to discover and improve in a GTE car. I always knew this first season would be to discover the environment, now I know what I have to do to improve, it is an incredibly difficult sport but when everything is right, the car, the team, the drivers, it's amazing. Big up to “Manu”, a great driver but also a fantastic mentor and friend and of course Rudi, Luc and the boys, thank you for your professionalism but also your patience, I know it's not easy working with a beginner but you've always been supportive and aconstant source of motivation. I am more than ever looking forward to 2014!”

Rudi Penders (ProSpeed Competition Team Principal):“The championship has indeed come to an end, but for us the work continues. We want tofurther evolve in an international context and that requires on-going effort. I also enjoyed the collaboration with our French drivers. This race also proved that François remains a faultless driver, retaining a perfect rhythm. We enjoyed a good dialogue and from our sidethe wish is indeed to further collaborate together in the future.”
