ELMS - 10/09/2011

This weekend the Michelin Green X Challenge went to Peugeot rewarding the car with the best energy performance. The drivers of the no. 8 908 were declared winners of this classification for the Imola 6 Hours, the third round of the 2011 Le Mans Series.

In Italy, the Peugeot won the Michelin Green X Challenge from the nos 1 and 2 Audi R18 TDIs, an LM P1 podium! In the overall classification the Pescarolo team's Pescarolo-Judd leads from the no. 51 Ferrari F458 Italia GTC of AF Corse (LM GTE Pro) and the Strakka Racing HPD-O1d (LM P2).

“By comparing the 2010 and 2011 Spa races you can see how the energetic efficiency of the LM P1 diesels has improved” says a very pleased Serge Grisin, the Michelin competitions manager for cars. “The evolution of the regulations has forced the teams to adapt by maintaining a high level of performance while limiting energy consumption.”
