This morning it was the turn of the LMGTE contenders to take part to a special photoshoot ahead of the 2018 ELMS finale in Portimão.

The crews of Proton Competition, JMW Motorsport and Spirit of Race faced each other this morning to get the race trophy in a relaxed atmosphere before heading to the track for the real fight.

Gianluca Roda and Giorgio Roda (n°88 Proton Competition) are the leaders of the LMGTE classification with 80.5 points following a win in the Red Bull Rig and two second position in Le Castellet and Silverstone. Their teammate, Matteo Cairoli is second with 70.5 points after missing the Monza round.

Just behind, with 69 points we find the 2017 championship winning team JMW Motorsport with 2018 drivers Liam Griffin, Miguel Molina, Alex MacDowall. They will give everything to get their third win of the season, to add the victories they scored in Le Castellet and Silverstone, and grab the coveted trophy of the European Champions. The third team in contention for the title is Spirit of Race, with Matt Griffin, Duncan Cameron and Aaron Scott currently on 67 points.

With only 13.5 points separating the top 3 teams, the 4 Hours of Portimão, last round of the 2018 season, promises to be once again full of ups and downs.
