After a Gibson-Nissan 1-2 in the first practice session this morning with JOTA Sport ahead of Greaves Motorsport, the tables were turned in the afternoon free practice session with Jon Lancaster posting a 1m49.419 lap, 0.598 seconds ahead of Harry Tincknell. The no48 Murphy Prototypes Oreca-Nissan was the best of the rest with Nathanael Berthon setting a lap time that was 1.3 seconds adrift of the leading car.
In LMP3 the two Team LNT Nissan powered Ginettas were 1-2, with the no3 car of Charlie Robertson and Chris Hoy leading the five car class.
In LMGTE it was once again a Ferrari leading the way but in the second session of the day it was the no56 AT Racing 458 of Alexander Talkanitsa which set the fastest lap. The 2m01.248 lap was just 0.08s ahead of the n088 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR of Klaus Bachler.
The GTC Class was once again very close with just 0.006 seconds splitting the top two cars, which were both AF Corse Ferraris. Marco Cioci in the no63 Ferrari was just ahead of the no62 458 of Francesco Castellacci.
The next time the ELMS competitors will be on track will be for qualifying which starts at 11h05 tomorrow morning.
