LMGTE Champions Reunite in Florida

Gianluca and Giorgio Roda, the first father and son pairing to win an ELMS title, will be joined by fellow Italian Matteo Cairoli in the no88 Dempsey-Proton Racing Porsche for the 1000 miles race on Friday 15 March.
It is also a welcome return for Roda senior as he stood on the top step of the LMGTE Am podium on the last visit to Florida by the WEC back in March 2012. The 12 Hours of Sebring was the very first FIA World Endurance Championship race held and Gianluca Roda, Paolo Ruberti and Christian Ried finished over a lap ahead of their nearest rivals. Seven years on Gianluca will be hoping that history repeats itself.
The Italian trio also competed together in the 2018/19 FIA WEC Super Season at Silverstone last August but finished 8th in class the day after they finished second in the ELMS 4 Hours of Silverstone.
