The six round European Le Mans Series will start with the 4 Hours of Le Castellet at the Circuit Paul Ricard. Forty one full season entries will fight for the honour of becoming the 2018 European Champions and receive the automatic invitation to the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans in June next year.
The grid this year will feature the largest gathering of LMP2 cars ever in the history of the series and when combined with the LMP3 category, the total number of Le Mans Prototypes will be thirty five cars.
In 2018 the European Le Mans Series will visit five current F1 tracks, with Le Castellet, Monza (May), Red Bull Ring (July), Silverstone (August) and Spa-Francorchamps (September), with the season finale in Portugal at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in October.
The 2018 ELMS season promises to be full of drama and action and it begins on Sunday 15 April.
