The 2017 season statistics

Now that the 2017 season is over let’s have a look to some of the statistics of this amazing season.

117200 fans attended one of the six events during the season and enjoyed the family atmosphere of an ELMS race weekend, with the village, the open paddock, the autograph session…

Concerning the sporting part, 151 577 kilometres were covered by all the cars during the 24 hours of racing of this season. The cars used 138 550 litres of fuel provided by Shell and Dunlop, the official tyre partner of the championship, provided 2800 tyres this season.

The smallest gap between the overall winner and second position was of 0.6s between the n°22 G-Drive Racing Oreca 07 and n°40 Graff Oreca 07 during the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

This season all six titles were decided in Portimão during the last race of the season, which proved the high competitiveness of the European Le Mans Series and the strong performance of the entries.

In LMP2, G-Drive Racing won the team and drive title, United Autosports was crowned LMP3 champion for the second year in a row and finally JMW Motorsport won the title for the first time in LMGTE.
