The 2016 European Le Mans Series is a straight battle between two British teams, four English, one Scot and one Italian driver – all rugby playing nations.
The no66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari trio of Rory Butcher (SCO), Rob Smith (ENG) and Andrea Bertolini (ITA) hold a 20 points advantage over the all English crew of the no99 Aston Martin Racing Vantage – Andrew Howard, Darren Turner and Alex MacDowall.
With the 2016 season finale, the 4 Hours of Estoril, taking place on Sunday afternoon, the scene is now set for a head-to-head battle to see who will become European champions.
