LM GTE - 02/02/2019 - Press release - Kessel Racing
Manuela Gostner (Italian), Rahel Frey (Swiss) and Michelle Gatting (Danish) will compete in a 488 GTE Ferrari. The team regroups after the successful participation in “The Gulf 12 Hours” in December, when the same all-female driver line-up finished 6th overall, and 2nd in their class.
This renewed participation was made possible, once again, thanks to Deborah Mayer. Driven by her passion for cars, challenges and the will to conceive something new and innovative in motorsport, Mayer commented:" I'm very happy and proud to be leading this project. It's the start of a wonderful and lasting adventure."
The team’s participation is in line with the strategy of the FIA Women In Motorsport Commission. With more than 70 national representatives in the world, the Commission aims to help implementing the WIMC initiatives in their respective countries, in order to create a culture that facilitates and values the full participation of women in all aspects of motorsport.
