The 2015 edition of the 4 Hours of Imola is just 10 days away and the European Le Mans Series has produced some exciting racing since the series returned to the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in 2013.

The 2013 race was 3 hours in duration and in 2014 this was extended to 4 Hours.  Here are some facts and figures from the past two years of the ELMS at Imola.

RACE

Oreca won in 2013 and Zytek won in 2014

Ferrari have taken all six LMGTE podium places in 2013 and 2014

Ferrari have taken five of the six podium places in GTC – 1st and 2nd in 2013, with BMW taking 3rd place.  In 2014 all three places were taken by Ferrari.

 

QUALIFYING

JOTA Sport Zytek-Nissan took LMP2 pole position in 2013 and in 2014

Ferrari (RAM Racing) took the LMGTE Pole in 2013 and Kessel Racing Ferrari in 2014

Lamborghini (Kox Racing) took GTC pole in 2013 and Ferrari (Formula Racing) in 2014

POINTS

Pierre Thiriet has taken the most LMP2 points from the two races = 35 points (1st in 2013 and 5th in 2014)

Victor Shaitar has taken 50 points in the two races.  The Russian took 25 points for the GTC win in 2013 in the no69 SMP Racing Ferrari with Kirill Ladygin and Fabio Babini.  Shaitar then won the LMGTE class in 2014 in the no72 SMP Racing Ferrari with Andrea Bertolini and Sergey Zlobin.

The 2015 4 Hours of Imola will take place on Sunday 17 May with the race beginning at 14h00 CET.
