Henrique Chaves: Racing at home

ELMS - 18/10/2018 - Sophie LIGER

Henrique Chaves, driver with AVF by Adrian Valles) will be one of the local hero at the 4 hours of Portimão. Here are his thoughts about racing at home.

Q: What is the goal for you in the final race of the season?

In the previous races we were consistently among the top 5 and sometimes between the top 3. So the main goal for this last race is of course to reach the podium that we have been missing. The team is motivated and I will be especially motivated for racing in front of my family, friends and sponsors.

Q: What is your favourite part of the track at Portimão?

I only raced once in Portimão but my favourite part is the last corner. It is very fast and doing it on the edge is quite a challenge.

Q: What is your favourite memory from the 2018 season?

I hope that my favourite memory will be this event, although I had quite some good performances this year, especially in Silverstone where I started P14 and delivered the car to my college in P2. That is the best memory so far…

Q: What message do you want to send the Portuguese race fans ahead of the 4 Hours of Portimão?

I just want to say to all the Portuguese fans to attend this event. There is always a battle on track for them to enjoy and of course that I will try my best to give them a good show as well. All the support is welcomed, and it gives us the extra boost on track. So come and have fun!
