Facts and figures about the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps

The Belgium track will host on the 24th of September the fifth round of the 2017 ELMS for the second year in a row. Since its creation in 1920 the Spa-Francorchamps circuit has always been adapted to the latest safety standards and hosts now the biggest motorsports events in the world from the F1 Grand Prix of Belgium to the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (FIA WEC).

Here are some facts and figures about the 2017 edition of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps:

  • Track length : 7.004km
  • 20 turns : 9 left and 11 right
  • 35 cars will take part to the race driven by 97 drivers from all over the world
  • 27 teams will be at the start and 22 nations will be represented

  • Racing Team Nederland will be the main attraction for the fans from The Netherlands that will cheer Jan Lammer, former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner and its fellow teammates Frits van Eerd
  • DragonSpeed won the race last year and will fight hard in Spa to win its first victory of the 2017 season.
  • G-Drive Racing will arrive in Belgium as the leader of the championship and United Autosports will chase them to try to take the lead before the season final in Portimão.
  • In LMP3, United Autosports is leading just in front of M-Racing YMR and Ultimate.
  • The LMGTE classification is very tight as well, with TF Sport leading over JMW Motorsports and Spirit of Race.

Plenty of action is waiting for the fans from Belgium and the Netherlands. Entry is free as well as the paddock to be at the heart of the race.
