ELMS officials test - Session n°4/5

Tom Kimber-Smith led the way for the Greaves drivers, lapping in 1:49.452, and within half a second of Klien were the No.46 Thiriet Morgan Nissan (Tristan Gommendy) and the No.48 Murphy Prototypes ORECA 03 Nissan (Rodolfo Gonzalez).

LMGTE was a VERY close affair this morning and Ferrari was still dominant!  At the front was the No.81 Kessel Racing Ferrari 458 Italia of Matteo Cressoni who set a fastest lap of 1:56.105 but in hot pursuit were the AF Corse entries of Pierre Kaffer in the No.56 and Michele Rugolo in the No.55 – both Ferraris lapping at the same time of 1:56.420.  Only one hundredth of a second behind these three was Andrea Bertolini in the No.72 SMP Racing F458.

As the other two classes have settled and drivers found their marks, so has the GTC class.  SMP Racing's No.71 F458 was quickest, Luca Persiani making his debut at the test session with an impressive lap of 1:57.186.  Behind him was Dane Jan Magnussen with a lap of 1:57.339 and just one tenth of a second behind the former Le Mans winner was the No.98 ART Grand Prix McLaren MP4 12C GT3 of Estonian Kevin Korjus.

The 5th and final practice session will take place this afternoon, starting at 14h00 and ending at 17h00.
