Nicolas Lapierre set a 1m19.082 lap, 1.5 seconds faster than the best time in FP1 and 0.4 seconds ahead of the nearest rival in FP2, the championship leading no22 G-Drive Racing Oreca, with Leo Roussel setting a 1m19.492 lap in the final minutes of the session. The no32 United Autosports Ligier of Filipe Albuquerque was third quickest with a 1m19.811.

The LMP3 class was headed by the no9 AT Racing Ligier on the Austrian team’s home track. Mikkel Jensen was the quicker of the three drivers with a 1m26.507, 0.1 seconds slower than the best time in FP1 set by the no10 Oregon Team Norma-Nissan, which was the third fastest LMP3 car in FP2 with a 1m26.795, just behind the no16 Panis Barthez Competition Ligier of Simon Gachet, the French driver setting a 1m26.639 on the final lap of the session.
The LMGTE class was once again extremely close with Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin filling the top three positions and split by just four tenths. The no51 Spirit of Race F488 of Andrea Bertolini was the quicker of the six car entry with a 1m28.407, 0.314 ahead of the no77 Proton Competition Porsche of Matteo Cairoli and 0.407 ahead of the no99 Beechdean AMR Aston Martin of Darren Turner.

Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Red Bull Ring will take place this afternoon with the LMGTE out on track first at 13h45 followed by the LMP3 class cars at 14h05 and LMP2 at 14h25.
