The no33 Eurasia Motorsport Oreca was second quickest, 0.6 seconds behind the Dragonspeed Oreca and 0.182 ahead of the no23 Panis Barthez Competition Ligier. The current championship leaders, Thiriet by TDS Racing, were 5th fastest with Mathias Beche setting a 2m08.994 lap, with their rivals for the 2016 title, the no38 G Drive Racing Gibson-Nissan, two places further back with Harry Tincknell posting a 2m09.316.
In LMP3 it was a 1-2 for the United Autosports team with the no3 Ligier Nissan of Matt Bell posting a 2m15.969, 65 thousandths of a second ahead of the class leading no2 car. The no9 Graff Ligier was third quickest with Enzo Guibbert setting the best lap of 2m15.231, just 0.197 behind Alex Brundle in the no2 United Autosports Ligier.
In LMGTE Porsche topped the timing screens with the no88 Proton Competition 911 of Matteo Cairoli setting the best time of the shortened 90-minute session of 2m18.814. The no51 AF Corse Ferrari was second quickest, four tenths behind of the leading Porsche and 0.028s ahead of the no99 Aston Martin Racing Vantage. Championship leaders JMW Motorsport were fourth quickest with Andrea Bertolini setting a 2m19.475 lap, just 0.661s behind the best time.
The scene is now set for qualifying for the 4 Hours of Spa-Franorchamps which gets underway with LMGTE on track at 13h25 this afternoon.
