How it works: the steering wheel explained by Jan Lammers (Video)

Winner of the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans for Jaguar and ex Formula One racer Jan Lammers has returned to Endurance this year driving the n°29 Racing Team Nederland Dallara P217-Gibson, racing alongside his fellow Dutchman Frits Van Eerd.
The steering wheel of a modern Le Mans Prototype race car does much more than just point the car in the right direction. It has no less than 16 buttons and 2 paddles at the back so the driver can control many functions to operate the car without needing to remove his hands from the wheel.
