Classification: where are we standing?

The 2018 champions, G-Drive Racing with the n°26 Aurus 01, is now leading the general classification with 38 points thanks to a pole position and a fourth place in Le Castellet for the opening round and a win in Monza in May for Roman Rusinov, Job Van Uitert and Norman Nato.

The Russian team is only 2 points ahead of the n°28 Idec Sport Oreca 07 driven by Paul-Loup Chatin, Memo Rojas and Paul Lafargue. The n°21 DragonSpeed Oreca 07 of Henrik Hedman, James Allen and Ben Hanley is currrently third in the classification with 26 points after winning the opening round at the Circuit Paul Ricard in April.

In the LMP3 class, the n°11 Eurointernational Ligier JS P3 of Jens Petersen and Mikkel Mac is first with 43 points. The American team scored one victory in Monza and a second place in Le Castellet. With 33 points, Inter Europol Competition is second of the LMP3 class with the n°13 Ligier JS P3 driven by Martin Hippe and Nigel Moore. Finally, in third position there is the 100% French team Ultimate that scored their first ELMS victory in Le Castellet with the n°17 Norma M30.

The n°77 Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche 911 RSR of Christian Ried, Riccardo Pera and Matteo Cairoli is leading the LMGTE class with 42 points after scoring two pole positions out of 2, and one win in Monza and one third position in Le Castellet. The n°71 Luzich Racing Ferrari F488 GTE EVO of Fabien Lavergne, Nicklas Nielsen and Alessandro Pier Guidi, is second with 40 points. In third position, we find the n°66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari F488 GTE EVO with 30 points.

Everything is still possible with all of the title in all the three categories still up for grabs.  The race in Barcelona promises to be action-packed especially with a chequered flag that will be waved after sunset on Saturday night.
