Special entertainment at the Circuit Paul Ricard this weekend

While the 29 competitors are on the way to the South of France, the circuit and the ELMS organisation are getting ready for a weekend of entertainment on and off the track for the thousands of fans expected to be in the paddock. With battles on the circuit and all the entertainment off the track, there will be something for the whole family to enjoy.

Track action will start on Saturday September 5th at 10h30 with the first of two 90-minute free practice session for all the competitors. After the second free practice session from 15h00 to 16h30, they will have got to know the track and will definitely have worked on the set up for Sunday’s qualifying and 4-hour race.

On Sunday morning, spectators will have the chance to witness the first battles of the weekend.  From 09h00 to 09h20 they will see the LMGTE and GTC teams fight for pole position during the qualifying session. From 09h30 there will be additional 20 minutes of qualifying for the LMP2 and LMP3 prototypes and then the starting grid will be set for the start of the race three hours later.

Spectators with a paddock pass (10€ for the weekend) will be able to get close to the cars and drivers during the traditional Pitwalk from 10h30 to 11h45.   It will also give fans the opportunity to get a photo signed by their favorite drivers during the autograph session in the pitlane from 11h00 to 11h30.

The green flag for the main event, the 4 Hours of Le Castellet, will be waved at 13h00 to start the race.

In addition visitors will have the chance to spend some time in the rest area, taking it easy in the relaxation zone. This place with reclining chairs and tables is accessible for free, and you can spend some time having a drink under the umbrellas.  While some will be resting, or taking advantage of the massage area, others will have the opportunity to test Tattoos in the specially organised “Tattoo Station”. The ladies will also be able to get their nails painted in the “Nail Bar”.

Fans of the French Provence can play “pétanque” with their friends and/or family in the paddock in the designated area and they will also be able to try their skill at Segway driving in the entertainment area.

There will also be great merchandising to explore in the boutiques, as well as food and beverages in the two bars inside the paddock. Thanks to the DJ in place, visitors will also find a musical ambiance Deep House in the afternoon.

The little ones will also have their place, where they will be able to ride on a mechanical bull or on a merry-go-round... or enjoy a delicious Barbapapa candy floss.

Outside the paddock, accessible to all the visitors, the new Xtrem Park of the Paul Ricard circuit offers various adrenaline full experiences, including Zip lines and quad bikes.

 

Rendez-vous in France on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of September at the Circuit Paul Ricard.

General entry is Free with free grandstand access. 

Paddock access (with pitwalk and autograph session) : 10€ for the two days

Free entry for children under 16 years old with an adult.
