Bruno Famin: “Ready to run”

ELMS - 06/05/2011

The Peugeot Sport technical director said the repairs carried out on no. 9 went off without problems. The car, which was involved in a collision on Thursday afternoon, is ready to run again like its driver, Pedro Lamy, who was uninjured in the shunt.

“We had a lot to do on the car,” said Famin. “Our mechanics and engineers spent half the night working on it. It's now completely repaired: we're within the deadlines and we're ready to run.”

On the day before the Spa-Francorchamps 1000 kms, today's programme looks like being a busy one. “Because of the interruptions of the opening sessions we didn't do all that much running, so we've still got a lot of testing to do to set up the cars. No. 9 is going to continue its programme as scheduled.”
