BREAKING NEWS FROM BIRMINGHAM: A MINISTER ON THE TRACK?

ELMS - 09/01/2009

Paul Drayson, former National Defence Minister, a member of the United Kingdom Parliament's House of Lords and the current Minister of Science and Innovation in the UK Government, announced during the Autosport International Show of Birmingham the 2009 racing programme of the Drayson Racing team in the GT2 category.

A few days before the Le Mans Series registration deadline (14 January, at midnight), the British team confirms its will for a full season entry of the Aston Martin Vantage GT2. This programme would be completed by participation in the 12 Hours of Sebring, Petit Le Mans, Laguna Seca and two late season races in Asia.

A very busy season on the horizon for the British team, which is Aston Martin Racing's Official Partner, for the drivers Paul Drayson himself and Jonny Cocker, as well as for the Team Manager, Dale White.

Please note that the 2009 Le Mans Series entry list will only be published after the selection committee's meeting, to be held on 26 January when the applications will be validated, or not.
