Team Release
7th in the actual championship classification, the Boutsen Ginion Racing Team always offers new opportunities to drivers to discover endurance and prototype racing at the wheel of the N°4 ORECA03 Nissan.
Two new drivers will be at the next round in Hungary.
Original drivers line-up for next European Le Mans Series race :
Two british drivers will be at the wheel of our proto LMP2 Oreca-NIssan, the 3rd driver is coming from Kuweit !
John Hartshorne, he raced with us in LMPC in 2012, and in LMP2 in 2013,
Alex Kapadia, driver and coach, he knows the Le Mans Series, as he won at Ricard, in 2012, in the LMPC class. He is also a Radical Champion. We saw him at Dubai 24 Hours, and on the podiums of British Formula Renault, Formula Ford and Formula First.
The 3rd driver, Khaled Al Mudhaf, is from Kuwait. He is used to GT's and GT3. And did some tests last season, with a LMP2.
John Harthorne (UK driver) : « I am really pleased to be back with Boutsen Ginion to continue my ELMS season. It will be even more exciting for Alex and Khaled as they discover the Oreca for the first time. »
Alex Kapadia (UK driver) : “I am extremely happy to be joining the LMP2 category with Boutsen Ginion Racing. Competing in LMP2 has always been a goal of mine and I am very grateful to the team and my co-drivers for the opportunity. We have a lot to learn in a short time, but it's a challenge ! I am looking forward to. My focus will be on learning the car and the series, enabling me to build on this experience for future events.”
Khaled Al Mudhaf : «As I am the first Kuwaiti circuit racer - with license number #1 - I am very happy to race at this high international level. I am really looking foward to a great race weekend this will be a step closer to my long life dream of racing at Lemans 24 hours"
We are happy to welcome them in our team !
See you at Budapest on 13 & 14 September.
But before that, we will be back at Spa-Francorchamps, next week-end (8 September), for the Belgian championship BRCC round, taking care of a Ferrari F458… More info to follow on our website ..
