Season review with Antonin Borga (Duqueine Engineering n°20)

ELMS - 09/11/2016

Swiss driver Antonin Borga competed this year for the first time in European Le Mans Series at the wheel of the n°20 Duqueine Engineering Ligier JPS3 alongside Maxime Pialat and Eric Clément. The 28-year-old first started racing in Formula Renault 2.0 and then in the Supertourisme French Championship where he ended the 2015 season in 3rd overall. Antonin gave us his overview of his 2016 season in ELMS.

What did you think of this first ELMS season?

I’ve learned a lot and the level is really high. The LMP3 car is also a great car to drive.

Which moment of the season impressed you the most?

My arrival in the paddock for my first ELMS race at the Red Bull Ring. I was really impressed to see the high level of the other competitors.

What are your projects for the next season?

For now, I wish to compete in ELMS but I have other opportunities as well. I will also have to take into account the costs which will be a big factor in my decision.

What will you do this winter?

Work! As during the season. Motorsport is a passion for me but when I don’t race I work, driving is really a hobby.
