Barwell Motorsport’s 2014 plans take shape for ELMS

ELMS - 14/01/2014

Having secured third place in both the 2013 European Le Mans Series (GTC) and British GT championships during last season's race-winning campaigns, Barwell Motorsport has been hard at work putting together the ingredients for its 2014 challenges in both of these arenas, as well as in other major series.

The  UK based outfit has one BMW Z4 GT3 confirmed for the ELMS GTC class, which will feature a very exciting driver line-up including a previous ELMS Champion on board – full details of this and the car's stunning livery will be released very soon.

Barwell will also be working with Ecurie Ecosse again in 2014, with the squad currently deciding which major GT3 series it will contest and also evaluating some different car options. These decisions are imminent.

Barwell will also be continuing with Danish driver, Jan Andersen, who contested the Dubai 24 Hours and Aston Martin GT4 Challenge events last year alongside the team principal, Mark Lemmer. Jan is currently evaluating different 2014 programme options with the team, as are Barwell's 2013 British GT and GT Cup racers, Piers and Ron Johnson.

The team currently has opportunities for drives available in either a BMW Z4 GT3 or Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for British GT, ELMS and the Blancpain Endurance Series. Interested parties should contact Chris Needell on 01372 457788 / 07860 633971 / chris@barwellmotorsport.co.uk.
