AVF Dallara Fastest on Opening Day at Le Castellet

The third and final test session of the opening day of the 2018 ELMS Official Test at the Circuit Paul Ricard saw Henrique Chaves set the fastest lap of the day in the no30 AVF by Adrian Valles Dallara-Gibson.

The Portuguese driver set a 1m41.018, seven tenths faster than the previous best, set by Nicolas Lapierre in the no21 Dragonspeed Oreca-Gibson. Lapierre’s teammate Ben Hanley finished with the second best time of the day, just 0.353s behind Chaves in the evening session.

DKR Engineering topped the LMP3 times once again, with Alex Toril finding an extra four tenths on his previous best to post a 1m51.363 lap in the no8 Norma-Nissan. The no9 AT Racing Ligier-Nissan was second fastest with Mikkel Jensen posting a 1m51.867.

The LMGTE category saw one car take part in the final 2-hour session, with the no83 Krohn Racing Ferrari of Niclas Jonsson posting a 2m00.426.
