Andy Priaulx looks forward to first ELMS race at Silverstone

“There can be no better circuit to start this part of my busy 2015 season at. Silverstone is very much my spiritual home and a track I know really well. Although this will be my first of five races in the ELMS, there will not be that much new about this coming weekend. I have got to know the guys at Marc VDS over the winter and, as well as working hard on preparing the car, we have had a lot of fun. We even went on a team building exercise in the Ardennes and did things like climbing trees and jumping off things. Having worked with a Belgian team for 11 years with RBM, I felt at home immediately in my new environment and appreciated their amazing work ethic,” said Andy. 

The triple world champion is happy with the preparations he has had ahead of this first race and commented: “I feel confident about our car going into the first race. We have tested at Imola and Paul Ricard and so know it well and feel comfortable in it. However, I also appreciate how tough the competition is in this series that has us pitched against Ferrari and Porsche in our class." 

The first action for the ELMS on the 5.891 kilometre (3.660 mile) Northamptonshire track is on Friday, 10th April for Free Practice 1 from 10.35 to 11.35 and this is followed by FP2 from 14.10 to 15.40. Qualifying is on Saturday and first it is for the LMGTE and GTC classes from 11.05 to 11.25 and then for LMP2 and LMP£ from 11.30 to 11.50. The race is the same day from 14.30 to 18.30.
