ELMS - 17/10/2017 - Press release - TF Sport
Aiming for the LM GTE title at their first attempt, TF Sport and drivers Salih Yoluc, Euan Hankey and Nicki Thiim have racked up one win and a further three podiums in their #90 Aston Martin V8 Advantage from the five rounds to date.
With 87 points on the board and potentially 26 still remaining, there are numerous possibilities but for TF Sport, a second victory of the year would wrap up the title regardless of what their rivals achieve.
Tom Ferrier, TF Sport Director
"We need a clean run. We have the car, team and drivers to win the race and that's the aim. If we do that we will win the championship. We have tested there for two days at the start of the year so know where we are going. It would be lovely to seal the championship for Salih, for AMR and for all the boys involved."
Salih Yoluc
"There is a lot of maths to go into this, but I think we’ll concentrate on going for the win and finish this off. All other options depend on what and how our opponents will do, so this is the only approach this final race.
"The car felt good there when we tested back in March. I was happy with my performance. I’m playing the race in my head and also dreaming the end of it too obviously. Hopefully we will get this sorted."
Euan Hankey
"I just want us to do the best we can and hope we don't have anything interrupt us. It's going to be tough after a disappointing race at Spa but I'm hoping we can bounce back in style give the TF boys a result we all deserve."
