Ready, Set, GO!

ELMS - 08/04/2018 - Jeff CARTER

The teams and drivers have arrived at the Circuit Paul Ricard and the European Le Mans Series is ready for the start of the 2018 season.

Tomorrow morning the 45 cars taking part in this weekend’s 4 Hours of Le Castellet, the opening round of the 2018 ELMS, will take to the track for the first of two day of testing, which will be the first time all of the cars have been on the track at the same time.  It will be the first opportunity to decide who will be the teams and drivers to watch this year.

High winds swept the circuit today, which has caused a few issues for the teams trying to set up awnings and banners.

On Monday 9 April there will be three sessions, the first starting at 09h00 for four hours.  The second session begins at 14h00, again for four hours and the day concludes with a two hour night session between 19h00 and 21h00.

At lunchtime on Monday three groups of cars will take to the track, one group from each of the three ELMS classes, for the travelling photoshoot.

On Tuesday 10 April there will two further track sessions.  The four hour session begins at 09h00 and the second and final session of the 2018 Official Test will begin at 14h00 and finish at 17h00.

You can following the sessions via live timing on the ELMS website at www.europeanlemansseries.com
