Entry List released for Test Day

ELMS - 02/06/2016

The entry list for the official Le Mans 24 Hours test day on Sunday 5th June has been released.

All the registered teams and drivers use the opportunity to re-familiarise themselves with the 14km track ahead of race week, and to start the work on the set up which they all hope will see them achieve success in the race on 18/19th June.

There are a few regulations which must be followed for the Test Day.  Drivers who are new to Le Mans, or who have not competed over the past 5 consecutive years, must complete a minimum of 10 laps during the test day.  Platinum-rated drivers are exempt from this regulation.

Teams can nominate up to 5 drivers on test day, and this year just three teams will run with an additional, fourth driver including Toyota Gazoo Racing which has nominated Alex Wurz as official reserve driver for both the No.5 and No.6 entries.

Just three of the 180 drivers due to take part in the race will be absent from the test day.  Joao Barbosa (No.40 Krohn Racing Ligier JS P2, LMP2) will be otherwise engaged in the IMSA event in Detroit, while Ford Chip Ganassi Team USA’s Sebastien Bourdais and Scott Dixon (Nos.68 and 69 Ford GT, LMGTE Pro) will be taking part in the Detroit Indycar race.  All three have received special dispensation for their absence.
