ELMS - 22/03/2010
The 12th hour of Sebring has struck…it's time to take stock of achievements. Among the 35 teams entered in this race, three are also participating in some Le Mans Series rounds…and these three teams are the winning ones! Indeed, the two Peugeot 908 HDi FAPs and the official Aston Martin monopolised the podium.
The Peugeot 908 HDi FAP n°7, driven by Alexander Wurz, Marc Gené and Anthony Davidson, won the race ahead of the n°8 with Nicolas Minassian, Sebastien Bourdais and Pedro Lamy. The two crews clearly ruled over the competition, not leaving any chance to Stefan Mücke, Harold Primat, Adrian Fernandez and their trustworthy Lola Aston Martin) who had to "content themselves" with a third place.
Across the Atlantic, on the bumpy track of the legendary Florida circuit, the competition was kept at a distance during 12 hours by this leading trio. Not an easy feat!
The Aston Martin will be present as from the Paul Ricard (9/10/11 April) to begin the 2010 season, whereas the Peugeot team will take some rest before meeting the series at Spa, in May.
